"Wasuk"

A wasuk is a sand-moving tool used in Sudan. It has a long wooden blade that is attached to a wooden handle. It is a two-person tool. The first person holds the handle and drives the blade into a mound of sand. The second person then takes hold of the rope attached to the blade and pulls it forward. By using a wasuk, people can move large amounts of desert sand very quickly.
